Super 8 - Youngstown/Airport Area

Nice reasonably priced hotel. Perfect for our meeting of friends and their dogs. Easy access to everything. The housekeeping staff for all but our last day was wonderful. The last day not so nice.

I was given a room originally and moved all of my stuff in. After the first night, I left for business. Upon my return, the maid service had removed all of the sheets, towels, etc. but had not replaced them. I went and told the front desk who's reply was "I can give you some sheets and towels if you want to make your own room, or I can transfer you to another room." I chose the latter. Person at the outdoor window checking us in was not friendly at all. Room was run down, dirty, and the beds were horribly uncomfortable. The shower in our room did not work and we washed ourselves with bottled water. We were a few minutes late for the "Continental Breakfast" so I am not able to rate the empty bad of Hostess mini-donuts. DON"T STAY HERE! Learn from our mistakes. ...read more

I slept well. The restaurant was very unexpectedly very good. If you want to stay at a better hotel, make sure you drive over to the restaurant.

I know that it this was a cheap motel and it had an only a level one rating. But I've been to other level motels that didn't have stains on the furniture or that the bathroom didn't take three hours for the tank to fill to flush. I will definitely not recommend this hotel to anyone. ...read more
